Appreciation through beautiful figure has long interpreted as capacity for human being to unravel a complicated structure of external realities. Our senses are capable of sensing some of qualities that the external world provide us, but only in extent of our biological capability as not all properties are intelligible by our senses. But those other qualities are made possible to be understood or at least to be known by our rational thinking and cognitive process. This ability not necessarily made all the concealed appear, but to put it under our conscious awareness, but the trues qualities remained hidden as we don’t know how our senses might distort the external information to fit to our cognitive structure. A complex definitive nature of reality might be can never be accomplished by human due to our limitation of senses and ratio, but to put the reality we perceived as the reality itself, interdependent from our sensical judgement and even rational definition are quite impressive attempt for a conscious being. To be aware of what we actually perceived and alteration on essence of information by our mind signify a trait of consciousness.

The correlation between our emotion and distortion of information by it are present in our interpretation of natural world. As we perceived things, the flow of information are coincides with the reserve of memories on which an actual emotional experience can be felt. The activation of memory by external world also arises emotional properties that have been imbued on prior experience. The intelligible not merely become an independent object, but a subject to our interpretation, from the most common interpretation such as function of a tool until a personal profound feeling toward events or particular subject. This can be easily recognized as the reality inside our mind, separated from the external world, and to distinguished both world and to put our consciousness as the independent observer of these two intertwining world and measure the extent of emotional distortion will put man on state of total liberation, or on post-modern term called mindfulness.

As we put emotion towards actual encounter to external world, a significant judgement were made. Aesthetic experience as we felt is no longer a deed of beauty things but a conspicuous act of complex cognitive simulation. Each of aesthetic experience has been agreed by unconscious feeling when we encounter external and will be preserve to once again experienced when the same or similar external are encountered. The explanation of aesthetic experience can never be explained as personal feeling is differ from one man to another, hence an aesthetic experience are definitively personal. But due to similar biological structure of human, our cognitive process which are the result of biological integration between neuron might resulting in common feeling. As we become the perceiver of the external, we are also the suspect of the external itself. This is the complex problem that need to be solved to achieve the total liberation.

It’s weird how we should appear physically in material world as if we had no choice whether our physical attribute were meant to be presented or conceived by other beings. On other side, it’s also our consequences from having the ability to perceive the world around us, hence we need to have the similar attribute from which we perceived, and all the intelligible, including our bodies which inside resides our mind as the subject of the intelligible object have interdependent qualities that affect each other. As our mind can pierce through the meaning which concealed by what appear on the surface, we know there is more in the essence rather than in presence.

A total liberation might can never be achieved, but only a modest definition of it can be deemed by mankind. A progressive attempt to unravel true nature of our mind through several branch of sophiscticated sciences and ancient philosophical contemplation will put mankind to perennial quest to not just be themselves but to know themselves. Our mind are wired to find purposes and when we don’t find it, we make one. We are on our journey to be who we are when we desperately admit that we don’t even know what we are. And in the middle of it which we called present, we tried our best to pretend that we already finished the searching so we don’t fall to the depth of nihilism. The quest no longer be the search for truth but the search for purpose and meaning when we are failed to fooled ourselves recognized it in deceitful preach.

Despite all the profound meaning behind beauty, the simplest pleasure from it is what we seek the most. The simple beauty from broken sunset on long carved beach, crescent moon adjacent with a horde of lost stars, solace that came with tender wind on flower covered hill brings us joy. That might be not so deep and philosophical, but the most profound philosophy are meant to explained the simplest feeling. Some of this feeling are transfigured to fixed ideal. This ideal is what construct our preferences, such as taste are made by experiences that we deemed to be fit with our ideal, or what we felt most emotional or valuable. Hence, taste will grow along with our life and what create our sense of taste is learning, as we learn and understand more, our worldview will change. So this taste is not inherent nature in human, we don’t have this high taste just because we born in wealthy family with higher level of well being, but what a wealthy family taught to their children, what they provide, is what created them. A peasant can have a classical art taste if they learn and understand and visualize their ideal, so they might adore that sculpture of David by Michelangelo with full comprehension of its aesthetic value.

We can only create a world we imagined, and that would be wonderful if we consider and applied aesthetic norm in every man-made object. Beauty took a great cost, it might be functionality that to be sacrificed, or cost taking product with more aesthetic look, but beauty would be appreciated by those who truly adore it. A million dollar would be worth to please our eyes, a couple more of dollars would be worth to please our feelings. Beauty is never about efficiency or efficacy, it’s always about what human capable to create as they capable to feel. We are just as great as what art we could make, while wealth and life might be transient, an art will last long for eternity as long there is a fool man to sacrifice their talent and time to dive down to unprofitable world of true beauty, art will prevail.
